Stack was awarded the construction of a new 6,000 SF office for the world renowned architect Moshe Safdie. Located in Somerville, MA, this ground up addition is attached to an 1850 two-story family house which was also partially restored as part of the project scope. Joining to the house with a frameless glass connector, the new addition encompasses two apartments, a new office and a records office. The new construction relies on a unique hybrid wood and steel structural frame with a masonry cavity wall.
